So for those of you on Facebook, this note with 25 random facts about yourself has been circulating and since I learned about it, I had been compiling a list mentally so that when I was lucky enough to get tagged, I'd be ready...and then when I got tagged, I couldn't remember all the things I had thought of.
Here's what my note said:
1. I love these things.
2. I am incapable and not quite willing to write short emails. I'm an elaborator. Same goes with texting -- I avoid abbreviations as much as I can. This could get long.
3. I have a fat deposit on my left eye that I've had since birth. It makes my iris look like it's dented. If next time we see each other, you're not listening to me and staring at my eye, I'll understand.
4. I have a bad habit of peeling my lip when I'm stressed. For me, stress leads to dehydration which leads to very chapped lips. I know, gross.
5. My marriage is the best thing in the whole wide world for me right now, and it helps that my husband just as crazily in love with me as I am with him. Every day is a good day when I wake up next to my best friend.
6. You can tell I'm a little off if I'm venting and if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time, I will claim you as my victim...lend me your ears (or eyes if we're on Messenger!).
7. If I share one of my recipes with you, consider yourself special. I don't do it often.
8. My favourite number is 5.
9. I live with two of my bestest friends, the two men who know me best. That said, I don't often get my way. e.g. I haven't seen Jon & Kate Plus 8 in weeks!
10. I don't play very many sports, but I run.
11. Sometimes I wish I was a real jock of a male quarterback so that ANYONE would play football with me.
12. I give myself projects every year. So far, I haven't not completed one.
13. Since I was younger, I've sorta shied away from doing things that involve people watching me, especially if I'm not sure what I'm doing, like video games or karaoke. The only exception was hula.
14. I get bored easily.
15. I tend to daydream at least once a day about what it would be like if I won a large sum of money.
16. I have VERY vivid dreams. I wish I could sleep more and live in them sometimes. As of late, they've been of my kids, who seem to be getting older every time I dream of them.
17. I'm a lover of change and I never make small ones. I like them in BIG batches.
18. I am passionate about God, spirituality, my family and bestfriends, running and fitness, cooking and baking and anything related to homemaking, being creative, being green, humanitarianism AND...grammar. (And I do realize that was a horrible sentence just as is this one.)
19. I turn my bad days around. It's pretty easy after some practise.
20. I feed off of positivity and I hope I ooze it too.
21. I love blogging.
22. I'm all about and all for moving forward.
23. My family can never be big enough, and I'm so excited to make some additions myself.
24. I must like water. I once dunked my head in a toilet (I was a kid). On another occasion, apparently I could have drowned and when I was pulled out, I was just fine. I have days where I wish I could stay in the shower all day long. One of the things I look forward to after a long run is soaking in ice water.
25. I have a severe case of do-it-yourself-itis, and I never want to be cured.
26. My second toes are not only taller than my big toes, they're also just about as long as my pinky.
27. I have a huge dream of going to Africa to do some serious volunteer work for months. One day I'll actually pursue it.
28. I prefer to spend money on lots of nice things on sale than one big and/or expensive thing, unless I've saved up for it.
29. I don't think I could ever grow my eyebrows back completely for the purpose of reshaping them, because some of the hairs just won't grow back.
30. I have an obsession with all things Dyson...I just learned they don't just make vaccuums.
31. I love holding hands. When I was younger and I saw couples holding hands, I thought it was the most romantic thing ever.
32. I knew I was going to marry my husband when I was 15. We started going out when we were 16.
33. I used to call those tin containers that small tarts come in "Fevers". I'm not sure why. My Mom never corrected me though.
34. I stopped watching horror movies after I moved out of my parents' house. Even the word "horror" looks scary.
35. I hate garden gnomes. They are the freakiest little buggers anyone could add to their garden and they're also really stupid-looking.
36. The first movie that ever made me cry was "Harry and the Hendersons".
37. I've never smoked/sniffed/injected anything. I'm a rare breed these days.
38. I think I could be fluent in French if I wasn't so self-conscious.
39. The list of things I liked about university is a hundred times shorter than the list of things I didn't like about university. I think I was just in the wrong program for too long. Then I got a kick-ass Intro to Soc mark which my prof held hostage because he wanted to put a face to grade. After that, I found my double major and things started to look up.
40. I don't like asking for things. I'm too independent or stubborn sometimes.
41. If I had known that telling your parents you might want to be a doctor is mistake number one in being a child, I never would have done it.
42. For the most part, I've mastered the art of stinkless silent farts. Chances are, I've farted right beside you and you don't even know it.
43. I have a fascination with fake hair.
44. Apparently, I had a heart murmur in my teens. I have no idea what happened to it.
45. I have around 4 alarms to wake me up in the morning, and I still only manage to wake up 30 minutes before I have to leave.
46. When I have kids, I plan to always have cookie dough made and ready to ball and pop in the oven. I wonder if they'll be fat.
47. When I graduated from high school, the teacher announcing my name (who I had known since 9th grade) said "Sarah CHRISTINA..." I don't know why I walked up to receive my "diploma" after he said that.
49. I sometimes wish I didn't sell my Calculus text book from 1st year. I have cravings for math.
50. My very first memory is waking up one morning before my parents, in my crib, and seeing the blue curtains in their bedroom sway from either a fan or an open window.
51. I could read other people's 25 things for hours. Meanwhile I have 2 books waiting to be read.
52. Honestly, they're not as big as you think. And I think I'm willing to lose a bit of them for the sake of personal fitness and strength.
53. I'm not pregnant, but I'll keep you posted.
54. When the Mini came out in North America, I really wanted one because I felt that if I was a car, I'd be a Mini. (But when I'm feeling really good, I'm an Audi TT hahahaha).
55. I really really really really REALLY try to be the change I want to see in the world.
56. I don't do the horoscope/sign/astrology thing.
57. HONESTLY, my dream car is a van. (Stop laughing at me.)
58. Having a bladder that is efficient for a 10 year old but being over twice that age, I can pee for an exceptionally long time.
59. Wedding talk makes my hands sweat from excitement. I was dehydrated for most of our engagement. (My hands just started sweating.)
60. I spend Thursdays analyzing the Lost episode of the night before until my head literally hurts.
61. I wish I could travel more, but I'm okay with putting it off for later.
62. My hair is both straight and wavy. Most days, I go for straight.
63. My husband promised to do a 25 Things if I tagged him and he has no idea what to write, meanwhile I've got 25 Things for him in a file on my desktop.
64. Among the many things I wanted to be when I grow up, when I was a kid, I thought I wanted to be a model. Obviously, I'm not, but one of my best friends is and I love her pics. (I also hoped to be a house wife.)
65. Seriously, I have to stop.
