Today is Thursday

And Thursdays are good because:
  • It means you've survived enough of the week to make it to....FRIDAY!
  • Usually most of my work is due earlier in the week, so a good chunk of my To Do list has been crossed off
  • Something good is always on TV on Thursdays, e.g. The Office.
  • We're usually home on Thursday nights, so we have some good QT time
  • My Dad watches D-nut during the day, so I get to see him on Thursdays
  • Thursdays are often grocery shopping day and since it's the end of one week's flyer and they have to get ready for the next one's, sometimes you can score both week's deals

I am not a cat person

and this TOTALLY freaks me out.

See here for the story.

If I saw this at your hallowe'en party...

...I might throw up.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

Did you hear about this? The largest crocodile was captured in the Philippines. I thought of Peter Pan when I saw this picture.

Keep Calm...

I see these everywhere and often, so I thought I'd compile all the ones I've seen/taken pics of...I think the universe is trying to tell me something...

This is the original one...

Sleeping in

I haven't slept in since...maybe early on in my pregnancy with D-nut. I haven't felt at too much of a loss though. It's sweet to wake up to the sound of a baby, especially when he wakes up in a good mood. There are some mornings when he wakes up in our bed and just gets up and walks around. Talk about morning person. But, there are some mornings when I want to beg him for a few more winks, just some more time for some shut-eye, especially when it's the weekend and I can usually manage to get in a few more minutes than what I get during the week.

Then, this morning, Labour Day, Mr.S went off to work (he works most holidays and gets a a lieu day) while me and D-nut stayed in bed. He woke up every so often looking for some water and went back to sleep.

By the time I decided to actually open my eyes, it was 9:45AM!!!!! And, D-nut was STILL asleep! Having not felt especially well this whole weekend, I actually found myself shocked that I had enough energy to get out of bed and get a head start before the big guy could start my day for me. I went to go wash up and expected him to be awake by the time I got out of the bathroom. So I carefully opened the door and...he was still asleep! So I thought I'd check my email and fill in the communication gaps I had created after a weekend of feeling like crap.

Just as I was finishing checking my email, I heard, "Momma?"

And there was our guy, lying on the bed, upside down, with his head up, looking at me like, "Whatcha up to, Ma?"

He slept in AND he was woke up in a good mood.

Happy Labour Day!
