I've been having G20-related nightmares. For those living in Toronto, you know how crazy things are expected to get here. I actually got invited to rally...I politely declined. Everyone I know is avoiding downtown Toronto. People who work downtown are either working from home or working off-site.
Mr.S has to go into work. His office is just outside the zone. I've been scared for weeks. I have no idea what exactly it is that I'm scared of, but I've been scared.
And so, I've been having nightmares. They're not really stretched out scary dreams, they're more like flashes of scary scenes. A flash of a crowd screaming. A flash of deserted city. A flash of collapsing buildings. A flash of people storming a guarded room. A flash of a bomb timer.
That last one was just this morning. I could hear the beeping of the timer and I was able to force myself to wake up, only to still hear the beeping while my eyes were open. I freaked out. I turned over frantically to see my husband missing from our bed. I yelled for him, covering D-nut's ears as he slept. Turns out, Mr.S forgot to turn off his morning alarm after pressing snooze several times, and so the clock was what was actually beeping.
Gah!!!! When this weekend is over, it'll be sweet dreams for me.
