If you're looking for a partner who's a keeper, and you're thinking long-term, as in "I'm-gonna-marry-him/her-and-have-his/her-children" long-term, here's something I realized would be very important, if you're someone like me.
Make sure your partner is not only okay with getting their hands dirty, but getting them dirty with your child/children's poo.
He/she must be able to quickly jump out of bed with you at 7AM on a Saturday morning, subjecting him/herself to high blood pressure to match yours, when your baby has taken a massive dump and it is slowly seeping out of the diaper, threatening to ruin your child's PJs and your sheets, first thing in the morning.
He/she has to be willing to either help you wash your baby's bottom, get the bath ready or attempt to undo the stains that your baby's clothes are being subjected to with detergent and hot hot water.
And through all this, he/she must be able to laugh with you about it, share your disgust and disbelief simultaneously at this crazy bowel movement, all the while staying focussed on the task at hand.
VERY important.
