Being grateful - 20121123

I am grateful for my bros-in-law.

My sisters and brother went to Michigan to be with our family there. My cousin passed away a few days ago. He had mental illness since he was a child, and as long as I can remember him, he and his family has always been awesome to us. With WyGuy still breastfeeding, it would have been hard for me to join them, so and I sent my and my family's condolences and best wishes for the family with them. This left me at home, siblingless. It was quite a lonely feeling.

And then my bros-in-law called me up and we met up for lunch...and then hung out for dinner. How could I say I felt siblingless?! I love those guys so so so so so much.

It's 12:23AM

And I'm sitting waiting for Mr.S to come home so I can take a shower post-work out. The boys are sleeping soundly and I have a slim and slimmer period of time during which I can do this before the baby wakes up for a snack. All I can think of are things like this:

Ice cream and crepes
Short hair and sunglasses
Sour cream and ______ hair ***EDIT!!!*** CHIPS! I meant chips!!
Anvil shoes
Long, wavy, ombre-dyed hair
Dirty sweaty salty dri-fit shirts
Love handles and stretchy skin
Laser hair removal

I need to take a shower already. I need to have better thoughts. Cue key in the door.

P.S. Mr.S actually came through the door half a second after I hit "Publish". Neat, eh? And this was the second time I wrote this post because the first time I wrote it, it got erased when I published it. Neat again, eh?

A Round of Applause 2!

Remember this?

Well, guess who learned to clap this weekend?

A new running motivation

I hope our kids love running as much as I do. And if they do, if I'm so blessed, I'm so excited to run with them.

Thoughts on Insanity

I started Insanity last week. Finally. So far, I know why it's called, "Insanity". Also, I miss P90X.

But you know, after every workout, after my frame of mind is back in its usual place and my body isn't so mad at me anymore, I look forward to doing it again and feeling better that I did better.

Isn't that what a successful work out is about?

I am grateful for daylight savings time, of the falling back kind.

I'm going back to sleep. For an hour.
